True North House is very excited to announce the release of our latest book, Through Indigenous Eyes, written by Shiye Bidziil, and compiled by Dyan Diamond.
Shiye, aka Dean Dedman Jr, a Native American, is a talented artist and drone pilot, and has used his drone to follow and document major environmental issues, including the activities of the Water Protectors at Standing Rock, as they opposed the building of the Dakota Access Pipeline. He has moved around the country, sharing unique and informative footage of efforts to stop the building of various oil pipelines. He has also documented the harsh and unfair treatment of the indigenous people by the law enforcement authorities, and shows the strength of the latter to stand up for a clean environment for their children, and for future generations.
Follow this powerful story through the eyes and words of Water Protectors themselves, who are right on the front line.
